Trip Description (This will be essentially the same as previous years but we will try and scout out new routes later this summer):

This will be a driving tour in the Mid-Coast area of Maine. We will caravan up to Maine during the day Friday, arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon. After a little down time, we will re-group and drive some wonderful backroads through inland Maine and work our way to the scenic coast in the Northport ME area ending up at the Lobster Pound for and authentic Maine seafood feast. On Saturday we will head south primarily along coastal roads and visit the historic Lighthouses of Owls Head (1/4 mile walk along the ocean or beautiful picnic area), Marshall Point (Where a scene from Forest Gump was filmed) and Pemaquid Point ($2 entrance fee). We will then wind our way back up to the hotel utilizing inland routes around Damariscotta Lake. On Sunday we will Visit the Owls Head Transportation Museum for a couple of hours before heading home.
