Description:

Simmons - Cape Cod Tour!

Join us for a fun filled day on the Cape. After meeting in Sandwich at the outlet mall parking lot, our journey will start with a drive along scenic route 6A into Hyannis. Our first stop will be at Toad Hall at the Simmons Homestead Inn. The hall (more like a giant shed) houses the Inn's collection of over 50 classic sports cars. Most are red and just about all are convertibles, although sadly no Miatas…. What's up with that??? A word of warning to those that are allergic or have a phobia about cats. The Inn keeper is a collector, besides sports cars, a large scotch collection; he also has about 24 cats. All the same color and very friendly. Check it out at www.simmonshomesteadinn.com .

Our next stop will be for lunch at Clancy's Restaurant located on the banks of the Swan River in Dennisport. After lunch our drive will take us over some great roads through Wellfleet and into Provincetown. This is where we will meet up with Art's Dune tours for a four wheel drive journey deep into the dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. We will be out among the dunes for the sunset and then enjoy a beachside bonfire. We are allowed to bring refreshments so remember to pack a snack and a bottle of your favorite beer or wine. Art's has a web site so check it out at www.art'sdunetours.com .

Please contact Les Barton by Saturday June 11, 2005 if you plan on joining us for the day.
