Description: Little cars from Mass invade the Paris of North America
This is a three night trip with two full days in Montreal. Those pressed for time may want to leave on Sunday instead of Monday to make it a two night trip.

We will leave from a designated rest area off Route 2 West, probably in Lancaster, MA. Much of the trip up will be on scenic secondary roads with limited interstate driving. The distance is about 350 miles which should take us around 8 hours with stops.

We'll stay in very picturesque and very French Old Montreal at the Marriott SpringHill Suites "Old Montreal" hotel. A block of rooms have been reserved for us at the special rate of $189 to $209 (Canadian) per night depending on the type of room you want. Hot and cold breakfast buffet, heated pool, and high speed internet access are included. All rooms and the restaurant are smoke free.

PARKING - Secure parking available at the hotel for a charge of $18 CDN per day. Parking is at a premium in Old Montreal so you'll probably want to include this in your budgeting. The hotel parking area is large enough to accomodate our group.

Montreal is full of things to do. Group activities being considered are:

There will be plenty of time for individuals and smaller groups to explore:
  • Old Montreal, the old Port
  • Cafes, Restaurants
  • Shopping
  • Museums
  • Grand Cathedrals
  • Botanical Gardens
  • and more...

Reserve your spot on this fantastic trip by emailing Rich and Caroline Mariani no later than April 15, 2007. Rich will provide you with hotel information including how to get the group rate when you make your reservation.

After April 15 the hotel will honor the group rate until June 1 only if there are rooms available. Contact Rich and Caroline Mariani to get hotel information so you can check on room availability. If you are able to reserve a room be sure to let Rich and Caroline know so you'll receive pre-trip communications as the departure date gets closer.

A bientot!
